Serious boating from your own shore
The villa’s private waterfront is designed for substantial boating use. The private Marinetek jetty provides practical alongside mooring for two boats of around 9 metres, complemented by a separate heavy-duty buoy mooring for a larger boat up to 14 metres / 46 ft, with a maximum vessel weight of 10,000 kg.
Final suitability depends on vessel displacement, beam, windage and local conditions.
From your dock to Tahko
Tahkolahti is approximately 10 minutes by boat from the villa. Moor beside the guest marina for restaurants and resort life.
By water to Kuopio
From Tahko, you can continue by boat to Kuopio along an approximately 90 km inland waterway route. The journey passes through three self-service locks and is regarded as one of Finland’s most beautiful inland water routes.
Beyond Kuopio, the waterways continue into the wider Saimaa lake system, opening up days or even weeks of cruising through Finnish Lakeland. Routes lead towards Savonlinna via the Heinävesi and Varkaus waterways and onward through a vast network of lakes, islands, guest harbours and historic waterways across the Saimaa region.
From the dock to deeper water
Syväri is known for pike and zander, and fishing can begin directly from the villa’s own dock. An evening on the water may stay close to home or become part of a longer day on the lake.
People have lived by these waters for a very long time
Archaeological sites around Lake Syväri show that people have lived by these waters since the Stone Age. The lake, fishing and the surrounding forests have shaped life here for thousands of years.
An evening swim
On summer evenings, swimming naturally becomes part of the same rhythm as the sauna. The short route between the house and the private jetty makes the lake feel like part of the property rather than somewhere separate to visit.
From sunrise to moonlight
The same east-facing water that catches the first light takes on a different character after sunset. On calm evenings, the villa, forest and jetty reflect in the lake and a swim from the dock can become one of the quietest parts of the day.
From the lake to the table
Dinner often feels like a continuation of the day on the water. The terrace keeps the lake beside the table as swimming, boating or fishing gives way to the evening. The dining table beneath the pergola seats eight.
